Security Training

Practical Security Training Aligned to Your Risk

Security measures only work when the people responsible for them know what to do.

BPS tailors training to your risks, procedures, and culture. We prepare security professionals and other employees who carry out those procedures to use security measures correctly, recognize threats, and help prevent crime.

In the meantime, here’s a quick look at our approach.

NOT EVERYONE KNOWS HOW IT ALL WORKS
Employees can contribute to vulnerability when they miss obvious threats or fail to follow established procedures. A security system can also sit idle when reception personnel, site supervisors, or even installation vendors are not clear on how it should be used.

In one municipal building, we found the alarm codes and instructions posted on the wall beside the keypad. Anyone who could see them could disarm the system, so the alarm would fail to sound during a break-in and the police might not respond.

ONE APPROACH DOESN’T FIT EVERY ROLE Generic content may not reflect your organization’s risks, procedures, or culture. It might also overlook the different responsibilities of security professionals and non-security employees. Each group must understand what it’s expected to do to protect people, products, and places.

What Does Security Training Cover?

  • PHYSICAL SECURITY, ASSETS, AND INFORMATION
We teach teams how to manage physical security, protect assets, and safeguard sensitive information, separately or in combination.
  • SECURITY RISK MANAGEMENT AND THREAT RECOGNITION
Your teams learn to anticipate and identify potential threats. They also learn where their role fits within risk management.
  • ROLE-SPECIFIC ACTIONS AND SYSTEM USE
Security training covers the procedures required for each role and the correct use of the systems in place.
  • REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES
In regulated industries, we tailor training to the applicable security requirements and show relevant employees how to follow them in daily operations. This can support your compliance obligations.

  • Delivery formats
