Who is Frank Pisciotta?

With a career spanning over three decades, Frank Pisciotta has dedicated his life to helping organizations strengthen their physical security. Frank achieved his Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation in 1994. As a Certified Security Consultant (CSC; of which there are less that 30 worldwide), and the Founder & CEO of Business Protection Specialists, Inc. (BPS), he has personally led nearly 5,000 security projects, providing risk assessments, security program designs, and compliance strategies for industries worldwide.

Frank’s journey into security leadership started long before he founded BPS.

After earning his master’s degree in public administration from Alfred University in New York, he began his career as Chief of Security at Alfred University, leading a 40-person security force responsible for campus protection, patrols, and enforcement. His expertise quickly expanded when he joined Mobil Chemical Company as a security consultant, supporting corporate and local security operations.

During his time at Mobil, Frank worked alongside two influential mentors who shaped his approach to security leadership:

• Stephen L. Simmons, Mobil’s corporate security manager. Simmons taught him how credibility and business interfacing are critical for security professionals to be effective and influential.
• Fred Van Scott, the local security manager. Van Scott demonstrated integrity, perseverance, and an unwavering work ethic, qualities that continue to guide Frank’s approach today.
