Security Plans
The Facility Security Plan is a tool used to document an organization’s strategy to security incident and crime prevention. A Facility Security Plan allows an organization to sustain a consistent and reliable security program over time. According to the American Chemistry Council, consistency and reliability will translate into a more secure workplace and community. Many new and proposed bills contain language that requires Facility Security Plans. A Facility Security Plan is a logical next step after a risk or vulnerability assessment is conducted. BPS consultants will answer the important questions when preparing your master Facility Security Plan:
- How will the security program be organized?
- What security measures are employed on a day to day basis?
- Who will be responsible for these activities?
- How are employees educated to take an active role in the security program?
- What are the security measures to be employed in the event security threat conditions change?
- What are the triggers that warrant activation of your emergency response plan?
- How will we measure the effectiveness of the program?
