Pisciotta To Chair ASIS International Chapter

(October 2005) Frank Pisciotta has been named chairperson of the ASIS International's Rochester chapter. The local chapter is comprised of more than 100 private security professionals who are employed by business and industry, nonprofit organizations, and as security consultants. Pisciotta is president of Business Protection Specialists, an international security consulting firm headquartered in Canandaigua.
Pisciotta's vision for ASIS over his 15 month term is to make the organization the leading information and professional development resource for security professionals in the Rochester area. He also plans to continue to improve cooperation between private security and law enforcement to reduce security incidents and crime.
The Rochester chapter helps college students further their formal education by awarding annual scholarships of $1,000 each. The international association recognizes individual security professionals' dedication to education and high standards with its Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation. Candidates for this credential must study and pass a challenging examination.

ASIS International has 33,000 members worldwide. In addition to managers and directors of security, corporate executives, security consultant, architects, attorneys, and federal, state and local enforcement officials are getting involved with ASIS to better understand the constant changes in security problems and methods of dealing with them.
