Pisciotta Named To International Food Security Council

(May 2006) Frank Pisciotta, CSC has been appointed to the Agriculture and Food Security Council for ASIS International. The council educates ASIS members and improves homeland security by helping the agriculture and food industries develop and implement voluntary security programs.

Pisciotta and the council are currently working with Michigan State University to develop food defense security standards. He says these standards are intended to safeguard America’s food supply from “farm to fork.”

ASIS is an international organization of 33,000 private security professionals. Pisciotta is the chairperson of the 100-member Rochester Chapter.

Pisciotta, president of Business Protection Specialists in Canandaigua, is one if only 26 Americans who have earned the international CSC (Certified Security Consultant) designation. His 16-year-old firm serves clients around the world, working with public and private sector organizations to prevent security incidents and crime.
